Summer Check-In

It has been quite awhile since I’ve written. At this point I’m not even sure I have readers at this point. However, I’ve realized along the way that I don’t mind. Sharing my thoughts with others is great, but at the end of the day this blog is for me get out my experiences out of my head, and I believe writing is a great way to relax your mind.

This Summer has really been about productivity and recommitting to myself. Although a company that hired me has refused to schedule me, I’ve pieced together a near full-time work schedule through three other jobs including leading school tours, babysitting, and dog-sitting. Outside of that I am also taking two classes including Statistics and Accounting.

I’ve also begun trying to find my health again over the summer. I’ve lost 8 pounds and begun to run again as well as pay attention to what I’m eating, and it feels really good to know that I’m beginning to get my old body back once again.

I will be honest, there have been times when I’ve been stressed out and overcommitted, however I feel much better this way than simply doing nothing. I think the Summer can easily turn into a time of lazing around and hibernating for three months, which in the past has been my routine. I’m very glad to say that I’m working towards changing that, and I hope all of you (if I still have any readers) are having the Summer that suits exactly what you need in your life.
